Life is fragile.
Relationships are what makes for a rich life.
Friendships are the dividend of an investment in those relationships.
Therefore
Take nothing or no one for granted by making every moment count.
Recognize the influence you have and the difference you can make.
Life is precious.
——
Nothing really new in any of those statements. Usually takes something out of the ordinary to remind us that life is precious and should not be taken for granted. For me this comes at the conclusion of a week filled with out of the ordinary events which caused me to pause and reflect on a series of what if’s.
-
What if a co-worker had not listened to advice and stayed at work rather than going to the ER?
-
What if I respected my cancer treatment and the effect it has on me more than my need to be perceived as having it all together and it not bothering me at all?
-
What if a former employee had waited on his buddy rather than going out fishing alone?
-
What if I had made that call I had put off and then forgot about to check up on a former employee’s cancer journey?
-
What if I was more likely to look at what God was doing through me where I am than where I would like to be?
Do you have any lingering what if’s on your mind from the last few weeks?
Life is both fragile and precious…therefore what would our lives look like if we intentionally treated that way?
