Learning to Pause

A week ago I wrote about how I would be choosing to “pause “ more often this year as compared to years past and how “pause” would be my One Word for 2011.

Little did I know only a few days later nature, not health, would create the perfect “pause” situation for the entire metro Atlanta area and much of the Southeast.

The timing, situation, and scenario was perfect for me to implement my plan as snow and ice caused everything to slow down, or as in this case, grind to a standstill. As this photo indicates, nothing was moving, and despite managing a Subaru dealership (which has the best symmetrical all-wheel-drive system available), we were closed for one day and had limited schedules for most of the week to ensure the safety of our employees and customers with all the ice.

What if Joseph and Mary were on Facebook

Creativity + Technical Skills x Internet = VIRAL

A creative mind blended with technical skills, and social media savvy creates an atmosphere for stuff to go viral on the internet.

VIRAL: An image, video, advertisement, etc. that is circulated rapidly on the Internet.

This video from Ignitermedia, is a creative illustration of how the Christmas Story might have been shared had current technology been available and through social media channels. For me this is a great example of how something can go viral on the internet and will most likely come back year after year with its timeless message.

This video is an artistic take on how the story of the nativity might have read had a social network existed at the time of Jesus’s birth. Follow this historical period as it unfolds as a digital narrative. This vignette is great for highlighting the truths and circumstances of our Savior’s birth in a fresh, unique way. Downloads and DVDs are available at Ignitermedia.
